Spoilers and Tutorial
" tutorial "
adj : of or relating to tutors or

" spoiler "
n.
[Usenet] 1. A remark which reveals important plot elements
from books or movies, thus denying the reader (of the article)
the
proper suspense when reading the book or watching the movie. 2. Any
remark which telegraphs the solution of a problem
or puzzle, thus
denying the reader the pleasure of working out the correct answer (see
also {interesting}). Either sense
readily forms compounds like 'total
spoiler', 'quasi-spoiler' and even 'pseudo-spoiler'.
The "Incident": Also known as World War III. This
war had started with a disagreement between two or more countries. Not much is known about this war, as it had been going
on for several years, and most of the record had been lost. Countries banned together to use their most powerful weapons,
while others were too stubborn to fight with allies. The nuclear winter that happened in Chicago (the city had also been renown
as The City of Tears) did stop the war, as both sides of the war surrendered to each other after the twenty years of
fighting.
City of Tears:
formally known as Chicago; The ultimate victims of the nuclear war because there were no survivors. Said to have been
bombed from within and destroyed completely, leaving no reported sign of life behind. Called the City of Tears due
to it's highest amount of causalities caused by the war.
The Lupis Project: Created in Japan to end the nuclear war.
Their goal was to create a perfected weapon or "tool" to do so. Instead of making it any sort of weapon, they decided to give
it a mind and a conscience, something that could trigger it by their manipulations alone. They had created a new type of cell,
called the Okami glands, and placed it into a created form they cloned from one of the researcher's only daughter.
The purpose of them was to make the subject use these glands upon their own will, so they brainwashed the duplicate to do
whatever they say, although for the most part it was unsure as to how accomplished they were. But they had monitored the Okami
glands, so that if she did anything wrong or resisted, then they could either put her to sleep or kill her. Another side
effect that the Okami glands gave the subject the power of explosion and even psi energy, making the clone the most
problem cause of the war.
However, whether or not if the project still exists was an unknown factor. Their base had
been abandoned in Japan, although it was still believed that they merely relocated after the war for some means, especially
after their subject, the clone, vanished.
Okami Gland:
The main product of the Lupis Project. It was created as an implant to turn a human or any other creature into a living nuclear
weapon, causing them to be the most destructive being that ever lived. It was passed on as a success when they tested it on
a little girl towards the near-end of the war, when the gland had been transplanted into their bloodstream. The primary side
effect of it is that if the host becomes too weak, then the Okami tends to take over the physical body, and its be like the
host never existed.
Okami Cells: Whenever the Okami glands has been used,
bits of the cells are spread throughout the atmosphere, and anything that comes in contact with it becomes mutated, in which
it becomes (as shown below) a Henkei, which means literally "metamorphosis." The cells are made of nuclear materials,
and whatever it comes in contact with that does not have the gland to reflect the effect, becomes mutated, changing their
appearances. Most of the time the change is a painful process for the host.
Henkeis (formally
known as the Okims): Ultimately meaning "metamorphic." Creatures exposed to the Okami cells, they come in any form
that had once been that of a living organism. Basically what happens to them is that their body couldn't take the abuse of
the Okami cells in their system, so they completely destroy their entire body, including their instincts, only knowing
two meanings: Kill or Die. They are driven on nothing but those two instincts, and that was how they survived.
The civilians know about them, which is why they have taken extra percussions to carry weapons wherever they go, and even
extra shelter in their home. Some parents aware of the dangerous atmosphere the world had been corrupted into had their children
home schooled in order to keep them safe from demise. There are also military guards on the outskirts of each city and town
to protect them from any harm.
Rei Emiko: The
tested clone of the researcher's daughter, Miyako. Kenjiro, the man who had posed as her father for a while, was running the
project, his wife, Undine, found out about what he was planning to do. And with that she took Rei and went to America, to
Chicago that had been known as the safest residential area because of its electrical barrier keeping all harmful life forms
from getting it, it was also heavily guarded by marine forces. Kenjiro was arrested upon Undine's absence after being caught
for running the project.
Now the purpose of Rei is to make her become Lupis. She had been put into sleep for
eighteen years in order to make Rei suffer, and now that she has awaken again, the Lupis Project wishes to continue
with their plan, and in order to do that, they need Rei.
There are many things that is peculiar about Rei (other than her
given supernatural abilities, giving her the ability to blow things up and is packed with psi energy), and with that the abnormal
psychosis of Rei consists within her four alter personalities, which developed within her many years of unconsciousness, where
she had been fighting herself along the dream plane what is real and what isn't. They sort of formed while she was asleep,
but didn't know about them until she was awake. Its a subconscious matter, though Rei remembers what happens in the past tense
with all personas.
[ Child ] Generically the part of Rei that didn't
grow up. Strangely enough as it is, she's the part that remembers what happened in the past, but she's kind of secretive.
This is when she becomes withdrawal, often talking differently (her tone changes into that of a adolescent, unable to comprehend
the thoughts and actions of others), also afraid of simple things, like loud, abrupt sounds.
[ Prime ] A little different from the others.
She's much more headstrong and has a better idea of what is going on, much more serious too. While Child can be serious every
now and then her Prime is the adult side of Rei.
[ Lupis ] Rei's hidden side, Lupis is the fighter,
the killer, the psychopath of the personas. She's also capable of telekinesis as well, psychic stuff like that. She enjoys
the feel of pain and killing others.
[ Martyr ] she's the sacrificial part of Rei.
What makes her much different from Prime though is that while Prime is mature, Martyr is more empathetic of others than the
other. She feels other people's pain, and is somewhat clairvoyant. Somewhat delusional, because she thinks that she sees people
that are dead, (like two of the characters in her story) Undine and Miyako.
More or less, all of these will be shown within the story, it's hard
to point them out, but I am sure that I have some given clues as to what personality Rei is currently in. I'd have to say
the toughest to tell between is [ Prime ] and [ Martyr ]. But that's just me.
Lupis: the ultimate
Henkei, the outcome of the Okami glad that was put into Rei twenty-five years ago. Should she choose to become
Lupis, Rei would be gone completely, and would never return. She would die and it would be like she had never existed. She
strives internally to keep herself from turning into Lupis. The whole purpose of Lupis was to become the perfect killing weapon,
and also to be the most powerful creature ever to walk the face of the earth.
Lupis has wings on the arms, with red
eyes. With spiked knees and heels in order to fight. She develops a form of armor around her body for protection. Her explosive
attacks and psi is maximized by at least one hundred times stronger than it already was, enabling herself to destroy almost
half of the planet (or cut off a chunk at least.) if she chooses. Rei also has this sort of power, though not quite
as strong, which is why Kenjiro/Akaiokami wishes to have Rei become Lupis.
Akaiokami (ah-KAI-oh-kah-me):
the beta Henkei placed into Kenjiro, who had willfully chosen to become Akaiokami in order to defeat Rei, and
to gain Lupis on his side. Akaiokami has a conscience, and doesn't look very little like Kenjiro anymore. In the beginning
of the story, Kenjiro is still himself, though later on he converts himself to become Akaiokami completely.
Akaiokami
has wings on his shoulder blades, with spikes on his arms and shoulders and heels, and at the tip of his wings, making them
deadly for fighting. His feet are distorted into talons, and his eyes turn completely black and his hair grows into a long
white tint. A form of silver armor covers his body, shielding himself from any form of attack, and no bullet can pierce through
the hide.
